Two Great Canadian Artists
Two important Canadian artists passed away this year. As artists we should remember them for their very significant contributions to our world. E. J. Hughes passed away January 5, 2007. He painted in the Cowichan Valley for fifty years. In 2001 he received the Order of Canada. In 2005 he was honoured with the Order of British Columbia. On December 4, 2007, Nanaimo artist, Norval Morrisseau, originator of the Woodland style of art died in Toronto. He received the Order of Canada in 1978. The works of both these accomplished individuals can be viewed at several good Internet sites. Yoho National Park, BC.Moonlight DancingRed Rock Crossing - At Oak Creek Canyon - Arizona
